This STRAWBERRY TRES LECHES CAKE is a very easy,delicious and perfect dessert for any ocassion. This tres leches cake is made with a pancake mix, it gives a very authentic and delicious flavor.

Budget Ingredients and Substitutes

- eggs
- canola oil
- pancake mix
- heavy whipping cream
- condensed milk
- evaporated milk
- media crema

Instructions
This is an easy cake recipe, you simple add the ingredients and voila calke to the oven.

In a bowl, add the eggs, the oil,the sugar and the pancake mix. Mix it well.
In a 9x13" baking dish previously oiled, add the cake mix and bake it at 350F for 20 minutes or until the cake is done.The baking time could change just for a few minutes depends on the altitude where you live, up to 3500 ft. leave it 2 to 5 minutes more or until the cake is done.

Once the cake is out of the oven,let it cool completely. After the cake is cool, with a fork poke holes all over the cake.

Blend the media crema(or evaporated milk) the evaporated milk and the sweetened condensed milk, once is all blended add tthe milk mixture over the cake, you may have to move a little bit the cake with the help of a knife so the milk can go all the way under the cake as well.

With a hand mixer add the heavy cream some sugar (¼cup) mix it until you have the consistency of a frosting and add it to the cake. Cut the fresh strawberries and decorate the cake.

Substitutions
The media crema you find it on the Hispanic aile at any store like Walmart, Kroger etc. But If you can't find it, you can totally substituted for 1 can of evaporated milk.
- Strawberries: you can use can peaches instead if you would like.
- GLUTEN FREE: if you want to make this cake a gluten free cake, just use a gluten free pancake mix and proceed with the rest as the recipes calls.
Storage
Keep the STRAWBERRY TRES LECHES CAKE in the fridge up to 10 days (if you can keep it for that long) and I always recommend to cover it with aluminium foil or plastic or the cover of the pan for that matters.
So the cakes does'nt loose his freshness.
Top tip
The most important thing to have sucess in this delicious cake is to wait for the cake to cool completely before adding the milk mixture.

Ingredients
- 5 eggs
- ¾ cup oil
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 cups pancake mix any brand
- 1 cup whipping cream
- ¼ cup white sugar
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 can media crema if you dont find it use normal milk
- 2 cans evaporated milk
- strawberries for decoration
Instructions
- pre heat your oven to 350F
- in a bowl add the pancake mix. eggs, sugar and oil, mix well.
- grease a 9×13" pan and add the mixture and bake it for around 20 minutes or until is done.
- get it out of the oven, and let it cool completely.
- once is cold, using a fork make little holes all over the cake..
- in a blender add the 3 different milks and blend well.
- carefully and slowly add the milk to the cake and let it absorbed it. use a knife or spatula to separate the cake from the wall pan, so the milk can go down the cake.
- do this until all the milk is gone.
- in a small bowl add the whipping cream and the sugar and mix until it whipped,
- cover the entire cake , and decorate with strawberries to your taste.
