MEXICAN GREEN SALAD

Course Salad

Ingredients
  

  • lettuce
  • 1-2 apples slice them
  • 1-2 cups of grapes. cut them in half
  • caramelized pecans or walnuts or almonds whatever you prefer
  • FOR THE DRESSING
  • 5 limes the big ones with no seeds preferably
  • ½ teaspoon chicken bouillon
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon white vinegar
  • CARAMELIZED ALMONDS
  • ½ CUP sliced almonds
  • ¼ cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoon water

Instructions
 

  • On a large plate, arrange the washed lettuce as the base. Top with your choice of fresh fruits and a generous sprinkle of caramelized pecans or almonds.
  • To prepare the dressing, combine the lime juice, sugar, chicken broth, and white vinegar in a small bottle. Secure the lid and shake vigorously until well mixed.
  • **Note:** Feel free to adjust the sweetness or acidity by adding more sugar, lime juice, or chicken bouillon according to your taste preferences. This dressing is a family favorite!
  • Enjoy your vibrant salad!
  • In a skillet, add the sugar, the walnuts/almonds, and the water, and mix well.
    Mix constantly to help the sugar stick to the walnuts/almonds
    When you start to smell a slight burnt aroma and it begins to caramelize, immediately remove the walnuts from the skillet and place them on a piece of wax paper to cool.
    Let them cool and carefully separate them from one another.
    Add them to any of your salads if you want to give them a different and very tasty touch."
