MEXICAN OREGANO RICE.
Ingredients
- 1 cup white rice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 beef bouillon
- 2 cups water
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 4 tablespoon butter
- ½ of a medium onion
Instructions
- In a small pot, melt the butter over medium heat.Once the butter is melted, add the rice and stir for about 1 minute to lightly toast it.Add the remaining ingredients and stir well to combine.Bring the mixture to a boil.Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to the lowest setting, cover the pot with a lid, and let it cook undisturbed for about 11 minutes.After 11 minutes, check the rice—if the grains have expanded and are tender, it's cooked.Turn off the heat and leave the lid on for another 3 to 5 minutes to let the rice finish steaming.Enjoy.
