HOW TO COOK BEANS IN A INSTANT POT:
- add your dried beans doubling the amount of water.
- add a piece of onion and 2 cloves or garlic and around 2 teaspoon of salt
- cook it for 40 minutes.

DELICIOUS PINTO BEAN RECIPE.
Ingredients
- 1 small onion
- 1 can dice tomatoes either, w/ green chiles, Mexican style etc..
- 4 minced garlic
- 3 carrots peeled and diced
- 4 potatoes peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 2 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cups water
- 4 cups cooked pinto beans
- i add some of the liquid of the beans around 3 cups or so.
Instructions
- Add some oil to a pot, diced the onion and cook it for 3 minutes or so. Add the rest of the ingredients except the beans. Bring the soup to a boil and let it simmer with a lid for about 20 minutes. Add the beans and continue cooking for another 10 minutes or so. (when you see that the potatoes are tender). Blend some of the soup ingredients. (I grab like 4 scoops of the soup more veggies than water) and blend it pretty good. Pour the blended soup back into the pot, stir to combine. taste it and add more seasoning if you feel like in needs more). serve in bowls, we love adding some cheese to it but you don't have to.
