I been using this recipe for 11 years now. It is the best dinner rolls recipe ever and it freezes beautiful.

THINGS TO REMEMBER:

  • you can make this dinner rolls using almond milk or lactose free milk with no problem.
  • they freeze for 30 days with no problem.
  • it takes 2-3 hrs for them to defrost and be ready to bake.
  • you can fill them with cream cheese with no problem.

FLUFFY DINNER ROLLS

Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup warm water
  • ½ cup warm milk you can use dairy free
  • 1 egg
  • ⅓ cup butter
  • ⅓ cup white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 ¼ teaspoon yeast

Instructions
 

  • You can make the dough by hand or with a mixer. Combine the warm milk, warm water, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
    In a bowl add the soft butter the the milk mix it, add the egg and salt and mix it again. Add 2 cups of the flour and mix it , add the yeast mixture and the rest of the flour and mix it until you get a soft dough..
    The dough should be slightly sticky but not so much that it sticks to your hands.
    Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise until it doubles in size.
    Once risen, divide the dough into 12 to 15 small balls, trying to make them as even as possible.
    Arrange the dough balls in a greased 9x13" baking dish. Let them rise again until they double in size. If you are planning on baking it at the moment.Or you can freeze them.
    Preheat your oven to .350Fand bake the rolls for 18-22minutes, until golden brown.
    Once out of the oven, brush them with butter so they get a pretty color and shine.
    Freezing Instructions (Optional)
    You can freeze these rolls!
    Follow the entire process, after shaping into balls put them in a cookie sheet and
    Place them in the freezer unbaked.
    Once frozen, add them in a Ziploc bag with the date and take them back to the freezer.
    TO BAKE:
    get the rolls out of the freezer, add some oil to your pan and add the frozen rolls . let them defrost and grow it takes around 2 to 3 hrs for the rolls to get the right size.
    bake them at a preheated oven 350F for 18 to 22 minutes.
    Once out of the oven add some butter and enjoy.
